Royal Warrant holder Burleys has won a contract with two more 999 service providers – increasing its blue light portfolio across the Midlands and South East.

Thames Valley Police and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue are the latest to ask Burleys to oversee their grounds and winter maintenance services.

The police element of the role, which begins this year, will see Burleys working at all the force’s operational sites, along with a large proportion of police housing, while it will begin working with the fire brigade next year.

The new responsibilities have already seen Burleys take on additional staff to service the police side of the contract, with further new appointments due to be made once the RBFS sites go live.

Burleys operations director Joe Howarth said: “This new contract is further evidence of our ability to deliver a quality service to blue light organisations.”

The Royal Warrant holding grounds maintenance specialist already works with a number of other emergency service providers, including fire brigades in London, Kent, Northampton and Hertfordshire and Sussex and Surrey Police.
